Mikołaj Poncyljusz is a Polish guitarist, composer, music producer, and sound engineer whose artistic activity spans a wide range of musical projects and collaborations. As a performer and creator, he is known for blending jazz, rock, and experimental sounds, creating music that is both deeply personal and open to broad interpretation.

He is the founder and leader of Light Star Guiding, a group that explores cosmic, improvised soundscapes and performs regularly in Poland and abroad. Poncyljusz is also closely associated with the ensemble HoTS, with whom he has released several albums, including a live recording that captures the band’s energy in concert. His versatility and openness to different musical languages have led him to collaborate with numerous projects, including Bezpańskie Psy, Opera Na Zamku W Szczecinie, Ola Jas, Warsaw Improvised Orchestra and SZU.

Beyond his work with bands and musicians, Poncyljusz has composed and arranged original music for theatrical performances, collaborating with directors and stage companies to enrich dramatic storytelling through sound. His music for theater combines improvisation, atmosphere, and dramaturgical precision, extending his artistry into the world of performing arts. Currently he is cooperating with „Strefa Wolnoslowa”, Teatr Powszechny, Instytut Grotowskiego and Muzeum Sztuki Nowoczesnej.

Beyond the stage, Mikołaj is active as a music producer and sound engineer, bringing a refined artistic sensitivity to recording and post-production. His work behind the console reflects the same creativity and precision that characterize his guitar playing.
